An MOT is a safety check, not a service. It will not tell you the oil is old or the cambelt is due.

We send you a written list of what failed with one fixed price to put it right. You approve it or you decline it. We do not start work on a failure just because we found it. Bring the car back within ten working days and the retest is free.
Common questions
- Can I drive it if the MOT has run out?
- Only to a booked test. Otherwise it is an offence, the fine can reach £1,000, and your insurance may not cover you.
- How early can I get it tested?
- Up to a month before it expires, and you keep the same renewal date. There is no reason to leave it late.
- What are advisories?
- Things that passed but are wearing out. We give you the measurement and the legal limit and let you decide when.
- Do you test vans or motorbikes?
- We test Class 4 only — cars, small vans and campers up to eight passenger seats. Not Class 7 vans, not motorcycles.
